Live in maid

Whoa!

Looks like I have been neglecting this blog. In fact I have been so caught up with life that I hardly have time for myself (this blog!)

I am a full time mom to a 22 months old and I have another one popping out soon in less than two months! Life is going to be one roller coaster ride and keeping my fingers crossed, hopefully hubby and I will be able to cope.

We are also looking for live in maid, preferably indon but no luck so far. Might end up with philiphine maid. I will update again on the agency we chose and the process, selection of maids so anyone who is looking for maid will have an idea where and how this process is going.

Until next time!

Pregnancy - Week 33

Time is drawing closer for baby and I. Excited. Nervous. Scared. Confused. Life gonna be a total turnaround and i am anticipating!

Weather in Miri has been humid and hot. During last weekend's church service i fainted, for about 5 minutes before i re-gain consciousness. I felt dizzy, and sleepy.. thank God my other half was with me. I dont dare to imagine what will happen if i fell backwards (sitting on a bench) :(

I have been drinking alot of water, eating alot of fruits which helps with bowel movement. Have been constipated since getting pregnant, guess the medicine from gynae is kinda 'heaty'.

Made appoinment with Dr Mattu, cant wait to see baby's update. Next blog, till then!

Gynae - Petaling Jaya

The other day as i was in the lift, a lady asked me when she saw my bump.. "how many months are you'? "Which gynae?".. I guess these two are the common questions people ask.

First, they want to know how many months to determine whether you are having a girl or a boy. Secondly, how 'small' and 'neat' your bump is or how big and huge like a whale you are.

So, im gonna share on the gynae that i have been seeing for the past 7 months. It is solely based on my personal encounter with him and how i felt.

This gynae location is located in front of Kelana Jaya LRT, for those staying in PJ, its the next shoprow from King Crab. Or the restaurant "Bone & Pot". U will not miss it.

Dr Loh Khee Fei goes by the clinic name Klinik Pakar Wanita Loh and contact number is 03-7804 8669. He is recommended by Boo's colleague.

Dr Loh is a middle aged man, and of course he doesnt talk much. He didnt explained much too as i expect a gynae will do when he knows you are carrying your 'first' child. Only during my last week visit (and also my last since im flying back to sarawak to give birth) he did chat up with Boo and me but we didnt quite catch what he was saying. How i wish he was chatty from the first time i saw him. And he speaks quite fast too.

Anyway, he is a busy man, so i guess thats why he kept his conversation minimal to baby's developement. Each visit cost roughly RM80 for consultation and baby pic and RM180 for consultation, baby pic and vitamins (calcium & obimin). I had blood test too and it was about RM220 for consultation, baby pic, and blood test).

However if you would like to deliver with him, he delivers only at Tropicana Medical Centre as his clinic is only for consultations.

The malay receptionist, Kak Zarina is very helpful too.

Ill be seeing Dr Loh for the final time tomorrow to get a consent letter before flying home to Miri and i shall update again from Miri :)

Pregnancy - Week 26

I am feeling guilty whenever i eat fast food or eating randomly just to satisfy my cravings.

This is what i had yesterday and some other days:

Breakfast
A glass of milk + 2 pieces wholemeal bread with peanut butter spread and margarine

Tea: A glass of MILO

Lunch
A bowl of curry noodles (YUMMY!!)and a glass of longan tea
(Baby was kicking a storm in tummy when i had this!)

Snack: 1 piece of rye grain crackers & a handful of mixed nuts

Dinner
Mcdonalds fried chicken (!) & fries. I took less than 5 sips of Coke plus i added water to my drink to make it less sweet. Haha!

I only have fruits on alternate days which i need to improve on. Also realise i didnt have veges in my meal! :O

Gynae - Miri, Sarawak

No doubt that when one is pregnant, first thing that comes to mind is where to find a good gynae in my area? I did alot of google and i couldnt find a decent one in my hometown, Miri.

However i had a 1 week break home and i made an appointment with Dr SK Wong(Tel: 085-438787) his office is located at Boulevard, next to Blueberry Cheesecake shop. However they are open until 3pm only and re-open again at night around 630pm. (if i got the opening time right, best is to call)

The reason i made appointment with Dr Wong is to 'check him out' as most people will when they want to 'confirm' certain service and in this case, delivery! Why u might want to know? Because i will be seeing him until the day i delivery and he will be looking at my hoo-haa when i deliver so connection or chemistry is very important. Which matters most is i am comfortable with him :D

He is a gentle, soft spoken and charming doctor. He is calm and few of my friends who had delivered with him speaks highly about him too! Since he only operates through his clinic, the delivery will be at Columbia Asia. I heard from my friends that Dr Wong only do normal delivery. So in case of any complication u might want to seek alternative.

I will be meeting Dr SK Wong again when i go home around early Sept and i will update again :)

Pregnancy

I have been thinking lately, if i were to get pregnant what should i do / prepare and how do i prepare myself?

Apparently, these are the 3 most important elements:

1. Gynae
* Of course the more popular the gynae are, the longer the hours you have to wait and sometimes it take half day or one whole day.

2. Hospital
* Which one will you go to and why? Expensive means good service? Or expensive means good equipment used?

3. Confinement lady
* Someone who will look after you and your baby while at the same time attends to you need, clean and cooks for you.

Until the time comes i shall be able to update more on this topic :D
